Fast Car has always been a favorite of mine.  I Just love Tracy Chapman’s effortless voice.  It wasn’t until we decided to cover this song that I actually read the lyrics.   Wow what a storyteller!

This last week Tim and I decided to try a little public collaboration project and it has been a lot of fun so we decided not to rush it, and give the “back and forth” a few more weeks.  So we decided to do a cover this week and possibly next week as well.  We hope you enjoy it!

Well, it’s week number two of covers for New Music Monday. Some of you are probably thinking “Awesome! I love Ben Harper.”  Others of you might be saying “COME ON!!!”  Our excuse…Let’s just say it was a busy week.  This here is a tune written by one of my favorite artists, Ben Harper.  We hope you like it.

This is our first GRAMMY NOMINATED song.  We also didn’t write it, which is too bad, because it’d be pretty cool to have a grammy this quickly into our latest musical endeavor.  That’s right folks, its our first cover song, unless you count Christmas, which we don’t.  This song was originally by a band called One Republic, and then redone by a band called One Republic and Timbaland and now redone by two seconds away.  Let us know what you think!  Now that we’ve got newmusicmonday.com setup in a blog format it makes commenting way cooler and easier… and we love our comments.
