One of the cool things about doing this music thing is we get to meet some other really talented musicians. So we thought since we’re only writing a song a month for 2010, why not feature some of those musicians every now and then? To kick things off we decided to feature Kyle Blake. He’s a super talented guy that we met back when we were at K-State in Manhattan, KS.
Kyle just finished up his second album “Kid From Kansas” and it sounds awesome. We went over to his house and did a little interview with him and had him play an acoustic number for us. So check him out and if you like what you hear then go buy his stuff!
EDIT: Just kidding! Pack’s surgery got cancelled and has yet to be rescheduled. But feel free to leave a comment anyway .
Remember the time Patrick broke his arm? No? Maybe this will refresh your memory…
Unfortunately, six months later his arm STILL hasn’t healed properly and he’s going in for surgery tomorrow. So why not leave him a little encouragement in the comments section?
My wife Mandy and I just returned from our trip to NYC and during this visit we got to see a brand new park that just opened a couple of weeks ago. I thought it was such a great idea and designed so well that I had to share. Mandy’s Aunt is a fantastic person and a great person to show you New York City. She gave us a little background on the High Line.
The High Line is an old railway that runs throughout Manhattan. Its a couple of stories off the ground and runs alongside and through buildings, over streets and pedestrians, and gives a very unique view of the city. It was abandoned a couple of decades ago and just a couple of weeks ago was re-opened as High Line park.
Every little piece is designed beautifully, from the seating, to the design of the walk way. Add it to the list of must see sites in NYC.
Also check out this vid to learn more about the charity “water” we are going to be apart of at Twestival. The event will be February 12 from 6-9 at Tower Tavern. Its cool to be a part of something that can help people in a really tangible way. To learn more about Twestival click here.
So Tim and I can’t sit still for very long… We have started “two seconds away productions!” This is a side business to our side project which is now the main project… Confused? (so are we sometimes) We needed a source of income and hopefully this is it. Anyway, if you know a band who wants a live audio/video recording of their shows send em our way! -patrick
