This reminds me of a great C.S. Lewis quote from “The Four Loves.” Love is definitely worth the while!

There is no safe investment. To love at all is to be vulnerable. Love anything, and your heart will certainly be wrung and possibly be broken. as for my thoughts on love… is it worth it?? love is ALWAYS worth it – ALWAYS! and knowingly, to love is to run the risk of being hurt… the deeper the love, the deeper the hurt when it all goes awry. and when we’re hurt, we forget to appreciate that fact that we ever loved at all.
